
Dell has introduced Latitude 2100 series netbooks for education section to compete against the recent favorite Asus Eee PC 1000HE and Acer Aspire One series netbooks. With rubberized rugged exterior body and resistive touch screen, these 2100 series netbooks are meant for school going children. Dell has priced Latitude 2100 at $369 (Rs. 18,500 approx.) and it would be available in Asia and the Pacific region in "coming few days" as the company puts it.
Designed specifically for students, Dell Latitude 2100 has typical netbook specifications. Equipped with Intel Atom N270 processor paired with Intel 945GSE chipset, Latitude 2100 can hold up to 2GB RAM with help of additional memory slot. The Latitude 2100 netbooks have a 10.1-inch LED display offering 1024x576 pixel resolution and also come with additional resistive touch screen upgrade
